Northam Lights Warranty Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 1, 2026

Northam Lights stands behind the quality of its lighting products and installation services. These Warranty Terms & Conditions explain the warranty coverage provided with Northam Lights lighting systems, including the applicable warranty period, covered components, exclusions, and warranty claim process.

By purchasing or registering a Northam Lights lighting system, the customer acknowledges and accepts these Warranty Terms & Conditions.

1. Warranty Coverage

Northam Lights provides limited warranty coverage for eligible lighting products and installation workmanship supplied and installed by Northam Lights.

The warranty begins on the installation date and applies to the system installed at the original installation address.

The applicable warranty period depends on the lighting system purchased.

Premium Track Lighting

Premium Track Lighting is covered by a 15-year limited warranty from the installation date.

Coverage includes:

  • Aluminum track
  • LED modules
  • Controller
  • Power supply
  • Installation workmanship

Eave Lighting

Eave Lighting is covered by a 3-year limited warranty from the installation date.

Coverage includes:

  • LED lighting system
  • Manufacturing defects under normal intended use

The warranty period is determined by the lighting system installed and is not selected by the customer.

2. Warranty Registration

Customers should register their Northam Lights lighting system within 30 days of the installation date.

Registration allows Northam Lights to maintain accurate records of the system and makes it easier to verify warranty coverage when service is required.

Customers may still be required to provide proof of purchase, invoice information, installation details, photographs, or other documentation when making a warranty claim.

3. What is Covered

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during the applicable warranty period when the lighting system is used normally and for its intended purpose.

For Premium Track Lighting, covered components include the aluminum track, LED modules, controller, power supply, and installation workmanship identified in Section 1.

For Eave Lighting, coverage applies to the LED lighting system against manufacturing defects under normal intended use.

4. What is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage, failure, or performance issues resulting from:

  • Misuse, abuse, or improper use
  • Neglect or failure to properly care for the system
  • Accidental or physical damage
  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or alterations
  • Installation or work performed by unauthorized persons
  • Damage caused by third-party contractors or other work performed around the system
  • Electrical problems outside the Northam Lights system
  • Power surges or improper electrical supply
  • Vandalism or intentional damage
  • Fire, flooding, lightning, severe weather, or other natural events
  • Damage occurring during construction, renovation, or property maintenance
  • Normal cosmetic wear, aging, or deterioration
  • Components or accessories not supplied or approved by Northam Lights
  • Any other damage resulting from circumstances outside the reasonable control of Northam Lights

5. Installation Workmanship

For Premium Track Lighting, installation workmanship is covered for 15 years from the installation date.

This coverage applies to installation work performed by Northam Lights.

The workmanship warranty does not cover damage resulting from subsequent construction, renovations, alterations, third-party work, accidents, or unauthorized changes to the installation.

6. System Modifications and Repairs

Customers must contact Northam Lights before modifying, relocating, removing, or repairing their lighting system.

Unauthorized modifications, repairs, relocation, or replacement of system components may affect or void warranty coverage for the affected portion of the system.

This includes work performed by homeowners, contractors, electricians, or other third parties.

7. Making a Warranty Claim

If you experience a problem with your Northam Lights system, please contact Northam Lights as soon as reasonably possible.

To process a warranty claim, we may request:

  • Warranty Registration Number
  • Customer name and contact information
  • Installation address
  • Invoice or proof of purchase
  • Installation date
  • Description of the issue
  • Photographs or videos of the problem
  • Other information reasonably required to assess the claim

Northam Lights may inspect the system before determining whether the issue is covered under this warranty.

8. Warranty Service and Remedy

If Northam Lights determines that a reported issue is covered by the warranty, Northam Lights will determine the appropriate remedy based on the circumstances.

The remedy may include:

  • Repairing the affected component
  • Replacing the affected component
  • Replacing a defective product with an equivalent product
  • Correcting covered installation workmanship

Replacement components may be new, refurbished, or equivalent products where appropriate.

The warranty does not guarantee that a replacement component will be identical to the original component.

9. Service Visits

A warranty claim may require an inspection or service visit.

Northam Lights will determine whether a service visit is required after reviewing the reported issue.

Where a service visit is requested for an issue that is determined not to be covered by this warranty, applicable service, travel, or repair charges may apply.

Any applicable charges will be communicated to the customer before work is performed.

10. Warranty Transfer

Warranty coverage is associated with the original installation and customer.

If the property is sold, warranty coverage is not automatically transferred to the new property owner.

A new property owner may contact Northam Lights to request a warranty transfer. Any transfer is subject to Northam Lights’ approval and verification of the original installation and warranty status.

11. Commercial Installations

Commercial installations may be subject to different warranty conditions depending on the products supplied, installation requirements, and agreement made between Northam Lights and the customer.

Where separate written warranty terms are provided for a commercial project, those terms will apply to that project.

12. Proof of Purchase

Northam Lights may request an invoice, receipt, warranty registration record, or other documentation to verify warranty eligibility.

The applicable warranty period is determined using the installation date recorded by Northam Lights.

13. Limitation of Warranty

This warranty applies only to eligible Northam Lights products and services and only for the applicable warranty period.

Northam Lights is not responsible for damage, costs, or repairs resulting from circumstances that are excluded from this warranty.

Warranty coverage is limited to the remedies described in these Terms & Conditions.

14. Changes to These Terms

Northam Lights may update these Warranty Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The warranty terms applicable to a customer’s system will be based on the warranty provided at the time of purchase and installation, subject to applicable law.
